1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Your Solar Review, operated by Investify Wealth Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) at yoursolarreview.com (“the platform”). By using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

2. The platform

Your Solar Review is an independent review platform where Australian homeowners can:

• Read and write reviews of solar installation companies
• Research solar system prices and government incentives
• Request and compare quotes from solar installers
• Analyse solar quotes submitted to them

We are not a solar installer, solar retailer, energy retailer or financial adviser. We do not install solar systems, provide financial advice, or guarantee the accuracy of any information on the platform.

3. Accounts

Creating an account

You may browse the platform without an account. To write a review, submit a quote request or save companies, you must create an account.

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your password secure
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent reviews
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or engage in coordinated review activity
• Harass, defame or harm other users or companies

4. Reviews

Your review is your honest experience

By submitting a review you confirm that:

• You personally engaged the solar company you are reviewing
• The solar installation described took place at your property or a property you are authorised to review on behalf of
• The information in your review is accurate and based on your genuine experience
• You have not received any payment, discount, gift or other incentive to write the review

What you can and cannot include

Reviews must not contain:

• False or misleading information
• Defamatory statements about a company or its employees
• Personal information of individuals (names, addresses, phone numbers)
• Threats, harassment or abusive language
• Content that infringes any third party's intellectual property
• Promotional content or advertising
• Legal allegations or claims of criminal conduct

We reserve the right to refuse to publish, edit or remove any review at our discretion.

Review ownership and licence

You retain ownership of your review content. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish, display, reproduce and distribute your review on the platform and in marketing materials related to the platform.

Moderation

All reviews are subject to automated fraud screening and human moderation before publication. We may reject reviews that fail our quality or authenticity checks. Rejected reviews are not published and are deleted within 90 days.

5. Business accounts

Claiming your listing

Solar companies may claim their listing on the platform to respond to reviews, update their profile and access lead data (on paid plans). To claim a listing you must verify that you are an authorised representative of the business.

Subscription plans

Business subscriptions (Verified and Pro) are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method monthly until you cancel.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days written notice to active subscribers.

What businesses cannot do

Business account holders must not:

• Solicit, incentivise or coerce customers to write reviews
• Write reviews of their own business or competitors
• Flag or report reviews in bad faith
• Use lead data obtained through the platform for purposes other than responding to quote requests

Violation of these rules will result in immediate suspension of the business account without refund.

6. Quote requests

When you submit a quote request through the platform, you authorise us to share your contact details (name, email, phone, suburb, system preferences) with solar installers on our platform who service your area.

Quote requests submitted through the platform are not an offer or contract. We do not guarantee that any installer will contact you or provide a quote.

We are not a party to any agreement between you and a solar installer. Any contract for solar installation is solely between you and the installer.

7. Incentive calculator and quote analysis

Our incentive calculator and quote analysis tools provide general information only. They are not financial advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision.

Government solar incentives are subject to change. We endeavour to keep information current but make no warranty that incentive information is accurate, complete or up to date at the time you use it.

Always verify incentive eligibility with the relevant government authority before proceeding with a solar purchase.

8. Company information and ratings

Company profiles on the platform contain a combination of information provided by the company (if they have claimed their listing), information submitted by reviewers, publicly available data (e.g. ABN Lookup, Google Places), and data compiled by our team.

We endeavour to keep company information accurate but make no warranty as to its accuracy or completeness. We are not responsible for any errors in company information.

Google ratings displayed on company profiles are sourced from Google and updated weekly. These ratings reflect Google's data and are provided for reference only. We are not affiliated with Google.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided “as is” without any warranty, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim all warranties including that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted, that any information on the platform is accurate, complete or current, and that the platform is suitable for any particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform (including any solar purchase decision you make based on information on the platform) is limited to $100 AUD.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss, loss of profits or savings, loss or corruption of data, or any loss arising from your reliance on reviews, ratings, price data or incentive information on the platform.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the platform that is not user-generated (including our design, logo, written content, price benchmark data and software) is owned by Investify Wealth Pty Ltd or our licensors and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.

You must not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

User-generated content (reviews, photos) remains owned by the user who submitted it, subject to the licence granted in Section 4.

12. Third party links and services

The platform contains links to third party websites including solar company websites, government websites and Google. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over third party websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email with at least 14 days notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Disputes

If you have a complaint about the platform, please contact us first at hello@yoursolarreview.com. We will endeavour to resolve complaints within 14 business days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
